emodel® by GeoDigm Corporation utlilzes Fed-Ex to ship and track your parcels to ensure your records reach us, contact our shipping department at (866) 436-6335 to schedule a regular pick-up and provide you with sufficient shipping supplies to ensure an easy and effective delivery of your impressions to the emodels® laboratory.
- Take a set of orthodontic impressions. To ensure dimensional accuracy during shipping, please use 100-hour alginate impression material. We recommend Triphasix™ for its superior resistance to distortion in all weather conditions.
- Include a bite registration record with the impression set sent to GeoDigm. You are welcome to use the bite registration material that you have been using, however, we recommend the use of thin wax sheets or a “bead” of PVS material applied around the mandibular dentition.
Since the emodel® is articulated in the computer to the exact relationship established by the bite registration, greater accuracy in the bite registration produces more accurate emodel® articulations. - Place the impression set and bite registration in the plastic bag provided. Please wrap disinfected impressions and bite registration in damp paper towels, squeeze out excess air and seal the bag tightly.
During Winter weather (Nov.–Mar.) DO NOT wrap the impression in a damp paper towel, instead add a tablespoon of rubbing alcahol and a few drops of water to the bag before sealing. Also, please include additional packaging materials to insulate the impression. - Carefully fill out the Patient ID Form and slide it into the front pocket on the bag. The Patient ID Form is a valuable communication link between the orthodontic clinic and the emodel® laboratory. By double-checking the Patient ID Form before sending the impression set, you help us insure 100% record accuracy for all your emodels®. The front pocket on the bag will protect the Patient ID form from being lost or damaged.
- Package the impression sets in the shipping box. GeoDigm provides all of the supplies and pre-paid shipping labels needed to ship impressions to the emodel® laboratory.
